Various Artists URC Selection Compiled by Keiichi Sokabe
URC (Underground Record Club) was founded in 1969 as a pioneering Japanese indie label and ceased operations in the late 1970s. Gathering visionary artists such as Takada Wataru, Endo Kenji, Itsutsu no Akai Fusen, Kagawa Ryo, Happy End, Okabayashi Nobuyasu, and many more, URC stands as the origin of Japanese folk and rock. From it's vast catalog, Keiichi Sokabe (Sunny Day Service), known for his deep knowledge of URC, carefully selected tracks, and now, the analog LP version is set to be released. Once again, Sokabe himself is in charge of both the jacket design and liner notes, but none of the 11 tracks overlap with those on the CD version. This album captures the profound charm of URC, which reflected the inner landscape of youth in the '60s and '70s, and delivers it to music fans across generations. Tracklist: SIDE
