Coming this July is Body Type third record "Tally", via p(doom) records. Here, the everyday bits of life-taking a lift up to a boyfriend's apartment, divvying up a bill-are transformed into sublime and surreal thrills. This is a luminous rock record, chronicling mundanity's mystical implications, the deformations of romance and love's confounding elasticity. Combining big, jagged riffs, moody post-punk and 60s pop, this is Body Type's most self-assured and expansive record to date, which coincides with their 10th anniversary as a collective. It's the sound of a band maturing and taking stock, but where wit and playfulness still reigns supreme.

The COJO Music/Warner Music Nashville 16-track album was produced by Trent Willmon. Banks Of The Trinity follows six highly successful albums, including the 2024 CMA Album of the Year, Leather. Among those projects are five RIAA Platinum-selling #1 radio singles including, “’Til You Can’t,” “I’m Gonna Love You” with Carrie Underwood and “The Fall”, numerous Gold and Platinum certifications, and over 10 billion global career streams.

Shiverstruck, the latest album from Ian Sweet, finds songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jilian Medford at her absolute best. Produced and mixed by Ben Allen (Deerhunter, Washed Out, Belle and Sebastian), the record centers a deliberate return to analog instrumentation, with acoustic guitars, piano, strings, and live drums at the forefront. It's hard to believe that a legend like Lenny Kaye has never released a solo album before. However, after writing songs and slinging guitar with his musical partner Patti Smith for over half a century, building the canon of multiple musical eras through his Nuggets compilations, producing award-winning albums from Suzanne Vega, Kristen Hersh, Soul Asylum and more, it's safe to say he's been busy adding his own flourishes to others' records and spreading the gospel of garage rock and psychedelic history. At age 79, Lenny is finally ready to release his debut solo album Goin' Local. There are also a couple of notable guests on the record. Patti Smith is the featured vocalist on "Solstice." "Let's Make a Memory" features jazz pianist Matthew Shipp. "Pennsylvania Girls" features Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth on violin. David Mansfield provided a string arrangement on the final track, "Yes I Will." Lenny handles everything else on guitar and pedal steel, accompanied by a couple of local rhythm sections.
