Toulouse Engelhardt is a renowned American acoustic guitarist and composer celebrated for his virtuosic fingerstyle playing. Often referred to as the "Segovia of Surf," he is the last surviving member of the "Takoma Seven," a legendary group of fingerstyle innovators who recorded for John Fahey's Takoma Records in the 1960s and 70s alongside luminaries like Leo Kottke and Robbie Basho. His newest work;
"Music from the Martian Gras" has evolved from the guitarist's love of Sci/Fi, Mosrite Guitars and the wet reverb-crazed instrumental sounds of the early 1960's. This album will undoubtedly ensure his continued presence in the stratosphere of guitardom.
