Live Like You Were Dying entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #1, with sales of 765,000 copies in its first week. The title track Live Like You Were Dying spent an astounding 10 weeks at #1. In January of 2024 Country Aircheck named “Live Like You Were Dying” as the #1 country song of the past 50 years! The album has been certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA and was nominated for Best Country Album at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards. That same year at the Grammys, the title track from Live Like You Were Dying was nominated for Song of the Year and won in the categories Best Country Song and Best Male Country Vocal Performance.
