Originally released in 2011, Iconoclast is the 8th studio album from Symphony X. Founded in 1994, the New Jersey metal band has been compared to bands like Dream Theater and Fates Warning. When Iconoclast was first released the album debuted at #76 on the Billboard Top 200 and #7 on the Top Hard Rock chart. The popular metal site Blabbermouth stated "Symphony X has proven throughout it's impressive career that it is incapable of making anything other than great heavy metal albums. Iconoclast just may be the strongest statement in support of that assertion to date."
