After the tragic passing of guitarist Alex Nelson, long-running heavy metal/shock rock band Lizzy Borden broke up in 2004. In the wake of this split, vocalist Lizzy Borden, bassist Marten Andersson, and drummer Joey Scott formed a new project, joined by guitarist Joe Steals, which led to the creation of Starwood.Their only release, 2004's If It Ain't Broke, Break It! #on Metal Blade Records, marked a departure from Lizzy Borden's theatrical metal, embracing the raw spirit of glam, punk, and hard rock.
