Chichibu guitarist Shin Sasakubo's 44th album, 'Echo Botanico' (Plant-like Sound), will be released on vinyl in November 2025.Since the 2010s, he has conducted his own folkloric and cultural anthropological research in Chichibu and continued to create music focused on the area's environmental issues. In the process, he began to have fundamental doubts about art and expression. Despairing of continually explaining music in words, a field that carries an ineffable world, he abandoned expression and continued to create from a recorder's perspective.This album features music inspired by his secluded playing sessions in the mountains of Chichibu, the inner sanctuaries of Chichibu temples, and mysterious spring-fed rivers. Repeatedly synchronizing with and overlooking nature, scenery, light, birds, insects, soil, and plants, the album evokes a Chichibu pilgrimage or Chichibu fantasy music.*As this is a limited edition product, the number of units available is currently undetermined.
