'Remember A Stranger' is the debut full-length album by Singapore dreampop band Motifs. Recorded in early 2022 by Leonard Soosay of Snakeweed Studios, the album straddles two themes - 'fading memories' and 'coping with loss'. Many of the songs were inspired by Elspeth Ong's memories of her growing up years and expriences. The album's cover art draws parallel with this concept by capturing the 'nostalgia of childhood' through the experimentation with various colours and textures to generate a 'hazy vintage' effect. The original photo was taken in an island in Taiwan by the band's guitarist JJ. This album is best intended to be heard in sequence. Please enjoy the record and we hope our music connects to you in its own special way.
