Mankind Pophits

Stockholm, Sweden quartet MANKIND have long been a hidden treasure of the European underground rock scene, touring across Europe on the strength of a few EPs and singles, and now they're finally ready to unveil their debut LP POPHITS on May 1 via Stockholm label Lazy Octopus Records (home to Holy Now, Second Oracle, AOP etc). Having worked with the likes of Strokes producer Gordon Raphael on their early work MANKIND mainly opted to self-produce when it finally came to recording the long-awaited debut album ' only one out of 12 tracks was recorded with Raphael, the rest is all MANKIND. Having grown a reputation as a must-see live band it's easy to see why with their blend of garage rock energy and britpop stylings and with POPHITS the band's set to introduce themselves to the wider world.
