Recorded in 1978, this album is regarded alongside Roaring Silence as one of the outstanding works from this period of Manfred Mann's Earth Band. The included Bob Dylan song Mighty Quinn is undeniably a classic in their version as well. Davy's On The Road Again - written by Robbie Robertson - is also among Manfred Mann's Earth Band's best-known tracks. With Watch, the band moved somewhat away from the prog-rock influences that had been so defining on albums such as Solar Fire, focusing instead more on the structures of classic rock songs.Re-release in a new edition restoring the original track listing, complete with bonus track and song lyrics.
