Leo Sayer’s earliest successes as a brilliant composer include writing “Giving It All Away”
and “One Man Band” for The Who’s frontman Roger Daltrey, helping to deliver the superstar
his first solo hits.
Next in line were Three Dog Night with their massive hit single “The
Show Must Go On” from their gold-award Hard Labor album.
Knowing that Leo was onto something big, thanks to devoted fans and big radio play, he carved out a lengthy
solo career with his own hit single “Long Tall Glasses” from his stellar Just A Boy album.
And the hits just kept going worldwide for this British pop superstar.
Teaming up with Richard Perry (Carly Simon/Ringo Starr), he earned his first Grammy Award® with “You Make Me
Feel Like Dancin’” as well as more super hit songs like “When I Need You” and “Easy To
Love”.
As a new decade arrived, Leo Sayer teamed up with Alan Tarney (Cliff Richard/
Tarney Spencer Band) and released some very exciting new sounds with the stellar “Living
In A Fantasy” and another top charting smash with the old Bobby Vee classic “More Than I
Can Say.”
Leo Sayer is no stranger to the Friday Music label, therefore we are very honored to offer
for the first time on vinyl his greatest hits classic "The Very Best of Leo Sayer". Pressed on super limited clear blue vinyl and presented in a first time ever LP jacket, this amazing album has all of his big hits here like Long Tall Glasses, You Make Me Feel Like Dancin', When I Need You, Living In A Fantasy and More Than I Can Say.
Produced by Richard Perry, Arif Mardin, Alan Tarney, Adam Faith and Mastered impeccably by Joe Reagoso (Rod Stewart/Doobie Brothers), we believe this will be one of the more important pop rock album revisits this year.
