Elvis Perkins Creation Myths
Creation Myths is the first album in 5 years from Elvis Perkins. Produced by Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Danger Mouse, etc), the album in many ways picks up where his debut Ash Wednesday (XL Recordings) left off. Pitchfork wrote of that album Elvis Perkins has emerged as an assured, fully-formed cosmopolitan able to merge readily recognizable influences with a sense of theatre. The record is being released under Perkins own label MIR under exclusive license to Petaluma Records - a new label venture founded by Nion McEvoy (San Francisco Chronicle and Chronicle Books). With a little bit of luck, Perkins and his band will be hitting the road (post-pandemic) on a worldwide tour in support of Creation Myths in Spring 2021.
