The Axes Volume IV: Winter Solstice documents the fourth installment in The Axes , an ambitious concert series created by Daggerboard and the Erik Jekabson Orchestra. Recorded at Berkeley's historic Hillside Club on December 18, 2025, the performance captures original compositions written to celebrate the spirit and atmosphere of the winter solstice. Beginning with minimalist motifs that gradually evolve into expansive orchestral works, the music reflects the seasonal themes of reflection, renewal, and celebration.
