The Alan Parsons Project second studio album I Robot, widely regarded as one of the greatest concept albums of all time, is now re-issued in a variety of different formats including a Super Deluxe Edition Box Set. Featuring 4CDs, a blu-ray, a 2LP audiophile pressing, a hardcover book, and replica press folder. Originally released in July 1977, the album draws conceptually on author Isaac Asimov’s science fiction Robot stories, exploring philosophical themes regarding artificial intelligence. The album was a worldwide hit selling in excess of two million copies, achieving platinum and gold status in numerous countries. Like other Alan Parsons Project albums, there were a variety of different lead vocalists employed including Steve Harley, Allan Clarke, Lenny Zakatek, Peter Straker, Jack Harris and Jaki Whitren. Plus, a selection of session musicians such as guitarist Ian Bairnson and drummer Stuart Tosh with arrangements by Andrew Powell. 4CDs containing a stereo remaster of the original album by Miles Showell plus 70 bonus tracks (47 previously unreleased) from studio out-takes Featuring stunning Dolby Atmos and 5.1 Surround Sound mixes by Alan Parsons from the original multi-track master tapes along with a new stereo HD remaster of the original album by Miles Showell. Blu-ray also contains the restored I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You promotional video and interview footage of Eric Woolfson discussing the album.
