999 was formed in London in 1976. 999 gained prominence during the late 1970s and early 1980s as part of the punk rock movement. They were known for their energetic live performances and a sound that combined elements of punk, new wave, and power pop. Some of their notable songs include 'Emergency,' Homicide,' and 'Feeling Alright With the Crew.' 'Emergency' is particularly well-known and remains one of their signature tracks. 999's album 'Death in Soho' was released in 2007 and is a testament to the enduring power of punk rock. As one of the original British punk bands from the late 1970s, '999' brought their classic energy and attitude into the modern era with this album. It features 15 tracks that capture the raw, fast-paced, and anthemic sound that defined their early work while also showcasing a more polished production.
