Olden marks the return of one of 16 Horsepower’s most important early works – released for the first time as a limited, hand numbered Edition on Oxblood red vinyl. The collection brings together theband’s first two studio sessions from 1993–94 and showcases them attheir rawest and most intense. Classics such as ‘American Wheeze’, ‘South Pennsylvania Waltz’ and ‘I Seen What I Saw’ appear here in their original, untamed versions and are complemented by rare, previously unreleased recordings. Added to this are live recordingsfrom the Mercury Café in Denver, which document the band’s hypnotic stage presence in their early days. is thus not only an essential document of the birth of the “Denver Sound” – but also a seminal work for a new generation of listeners.
