Vokonis just got in at the deep end of the heavy progressive realm. With their new album, Grasping Time, Vokonis debut dual vocals, greater dynamic shifts and heavier, more complex songs. Grasping Time is the third album from the Swedish heavy prog-metal trio. The new album makes Vokonis blossom as a progressive beast, and the album tracks are drenched in blasting distortion, melody, and menace. The title track and digital single Grasping Time have since its release been heavily playlisted by Spotify and the band have reached a new audience. Vokonis third album is a milestone. With influences ranging from Baroness and Pink Floyd to Elder, Vokonis utilizes every color in their palette to create something wholly unique. Grasping Time features eight songs that clocks in at a total of 42 minutes. The music was written over a period of one year and features the last contribution by Emil on drums before he left the band. The album was recorded and mixed at Studio Underjord with Joona Hassinen and was mastered by Magnus Lindberg at Redmount Studios. Album art was drawn by Kyrre Bjurling.
