In its essence, Unrivaled Groove bridges and further strengthens the connection between the US and UK Garage scenes amidst the genre's growing popularity. Available in a limited vinyl pressing, as well as streaming on major DSP's, the thoughtful compilation features 8 tracks from 10 artists ' 5 from the U.S. and 5 from the UK ' who come together to show that garage is a worldwide force that transcends borders. As a whole, the record is a gorgeous mix of classic and forward-thinking styles, ranging from vocal-heavy, 90s-laden 2-step to NUKG, Breaks/D'n'B, and Bassline. While there is yearning in every one of these tracks ' for live music, for community, the club, and even a dash of normalcy ' there's also an incredible amount of hope and excitement to continue the mission started before quarantine: to further unify the two scenes, (and just in time for raves to return).
