Unseemlier melds the sound of 1990s emo bands and early 2000s with soft punk.
Unseemlier have self-described themselves as soft-punk/heavy-emo, which is actually a perfect way to describe the Boston quartet. Though a studio recording, it has a raw intensity that gives the impression of a live album. Vocalist Mike Assatly's voice is right up front, drawing you in, atop rich instrumentation. If you like your punk heavy and melodic, yet a little bit unpredictable and challenging, Unseemlier is for you.
