True North Either Way, the Sun's Exploding (Orange/Blue)
Shortly after the release of True North's debut LP "Out Loud", the band members found themselves back in the studio, working on a variety of new songs throughout the coming months. With their first record deal signed, album released and official career as a touring act underway, the band was brimming with inspiration and new experiences. This prolific period of creation would set the tone for a modern and refined side of their music, showcasing a more mature and polished sound. Guitarist Joel Ferber once again handled production, and a collection of their best work from this era began to organically coalesce into the band's sophomore album. The title, "Either Way The Sun's Exploding," reflects a forced sense of apathy that the members would embody as they delved deeper into more serious musical themes and topics. These included the loss of love, fear, humility, self-reflection and the ever-present pursuit of growth." True North masterfully blend elements of alt-rock, emo and pop-punk to create a sound that is both nostalgic and contemporary, filled with compelling melodies and emotionally resonant lyrics.
