The Del-Vetts The Del-Vetts
During the golden age of '60s garage rock, Chicago was a hotbed of raw rock 'n' roll activity, spawning a wide array of hard-hitting homegrown combos. Suburban teen-club heroes the Del-Vetts were one of the best things to rise from that fertile Windy City scene, creating some of the era's punchiest proto-punk!With legendary local garage godfather Bill Traut (The Nazz, Shadows of Night) producing, the Del-Vetts released four singles on four different labels (including Traut's legendary Dunwich imprint) and under two different names between 1965 and 1968, including the immortal mini-masterpiece 'The Last Time Around,' which became a local smash in Chi-town and made the national Top 30.
