When Guthrie Govan (guitar), Bryan Beller (bass), and Marco Minnemann (drums) formed a band on a whim after a 2011 NAMM jam, and four months later cut their debut album in just nine days, they had no idea they'd be creating a classic. But that's exactly what happened. Raw and bursting with energy, the eponymous The Aristocrats is now available in a limited run of magenta-colored 180-gram double vinyl. This marks the first time in the band's history that their debut album has been released on vinyl. With each band member contributing equally in the songwriting department, all three penned tracks that became staples in the band's live set. Guthrie Govan's rowdy swinger Bad Asteroid set the instrumental music world ablaze; Marco Minnemann's breakneck deconstruction Blues F*ckers practically defined the band's anything goes attitude, and Bryan Beller's pensive ballad Flatlands showed just how emotionally deep the newly-formed trio could go. It all happened in less than two weeks. Thirteen years later, it's finally available on vinyl.
