PYLAR, the best kept secret of the Spanish underground, is a collective formed in Seville (Spain) by members of Orthodox and Blooming Látigo. With an imaginary that feeds on occult sciences, the sacred (with special attention to the pagan theme) or hyperstition, PYLAR navigates in the depths of mysticism and cosmic horror evoking interdimensional and abyssal sound scenarios. An instrumental training that incorporates from percussion, to guitars, keyboards, horn, violin or mandolin, to which is added the voice that intones texts by the experimental writer and philosopher Francisco Jota-Pérez, fragments extracted from occult sciences and the cult vanguard grimoire Cyclonopedia. PYLAR moves between the experimental doom metal, black metal or the psychedelia, so they created a music of dense texture by superimposing elements in the style of Blut Aus Nord, Swans or Oranssi Pazuzu. Their first work Poderoso se alza en my (2013) was their letter of presentation, praised by the very Julian Cope. In LÍMYTE, their new album, PYLAR has had the collaboration of the renowned musician and producer CG Santos (Teitanblood, etc.) who has created a piece of music, playing hurdy-gurdies and modular synths, with the aim of being inserted into LÍMYTE as an element from the outside so that it can open PYLAR´s compositions on this album outwards, towards a hypercacophony. The tension created through the overlapping of these elements causes cracks in the music through which what-is-beyond can be glimpsed, while breaking with the linear narrative of traditional musical discourse. An expansion arises towards a collapse that does not imply the end but a rearrangement of the primary symbols used at an aesthetic level for a new beginning in an endless spiral... What would it mean to bring the creation of the new to its final horizon in metal (with a reckless, uncompromising and irresponsible tenacity)?
