Ómar Guðjónsson is one of Iceland's most versatile and respected musicians, known for his distinctive guitar work and innovative compositions. In addition to his solo projects, Ómar is a founding member of acclaimed Icelandic bands ADHD, Roforofo, and LÓN, each celebrated for pushing boundaries in jazz, experimental, and alternative music. Ómar has admired the pedal steel guitar and the artistry of Daniel Lanois for decades. His fascination deepened when he heard Pete Drake's playing on George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. That moment sparked a decision: he had to own a pedal steel and explore its possibilities. After finding a style that felt authentic, Ómar recorded his first pedal steel-focused album, Ómar Fortíðar, two years ago -- a project where he even mimicked Icelandic opera singers. From there, his writing evolved, leading him to revisit childhood memories and create the compositions that became 210.
