STUDIO KONZERT is the audiophile Direct-To-2-Track fully analogue recorded concert series, produced by the Bauer Studios since early 2013 and available in shops as numbered and limited 180g vinyl records with a premium-quality packaging. On her 7th album which is part of the Studio Konzert series, Olivia Trummer plays solo on the grand piano, fender rhodes and vocals. The concert was recorded live at the Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg in November 2017, which is a brave step of her due to the fact, that there is no such thing as a safety net or guarantee at a live concert. But she doesn't need that at all: At this concert Olivia Trummer is on her musical top form and playing and singing inspirationally and expressively neither a note too much nor too little. Her first solo album sounds laid-back and self confident at the same time and let's the listener look forward to more solo projects like this. The album includes original compositions as well as interpretations of several well-known pop songs and jazz-standards. On the side A, Olivia Trummer accompanies herself on the grand piano, carrying the brilliance of her voice in a wonderful way. On the side B her singing is merging with the mysteriously dazzling bass of the fender rhodes. All arrangements of the album are smart, harmonious and well-formed, without losing space for spontaneity. It is refreshing how Olivia Trummer as an interpreter is turning You are the Sunshine of My Life by Stevie Wonder in something new, something own. It is magical how her originals Sharing my Heart and Fly Now of her previously released album emanate such deepness in a reduced solo version. Sweeping, how Olivia Trummer goes for broke with her singing in her version of Nature Boy and plays groovy bass lines on the fender rhodes at the same time. The interpretation of two pieces of Claude Debussy's suite children's corner form a special moment for the ending - unconventionally performed with singing on the fender rhodes.
