Mulo Francel How Did We Get Here?
Saxophone and Vibraphone chamber music duo in a pure AAA-recording without any effect processing.
The two extravagant artists have performed together on numerous tours in Europe and the USA with Mulo Francel's band Quadro Nuevo. Tim Collins from New York is a grand master of the vibraphone. The Washing-ton Post describes him as a 'musician of fire'. Mulo Francel has received the ECHO and the German Jazz Award several times. Kulturnews magazine described him as having the 'most sensual saxophone sound in Europe'.
Together they meet in a chamber music duo playing at the highest level: Swinging jazz, romantic ballads and adventurous improvisations on original compositions, which also incorporate elements of neo-classical and minimal music.
As an AAA recording, the LP version of the album remains on the analogue level throughout. It was created as a co-production between GLM Music and the 'Jazz on Vinyl' label run by sound engineer Dominique Klatte.
The high-quality microphone signals from the studio were left completely natural and were not processed in terms of frequency, space or reverb, resulting in an unusually direct, unvarnished listening experience in living room acoustics.
