The Legendary 1963 Piedmont sides of Mississippi John Hurt, his first since his influential 1928 recordings for the Okeh label. A companion record to 'Folk Songs And Blues', 'Worried Blues' was originally released in 1963 and features songs recorded by Hurt after his rediscovery in the early 60s. The wide-ranging repertoire here is highlighted by 'Farther Along' and 'Oh Mary, Don't You Weep. ' Accompanied only by his guitar, Hurt is an engaging performer who cuts to the bone with his laid back, peaceful singing and playing. 180 gram vinyl.
