1999's Marillion.com was one of first of these internet based promotions as the band used the web to ask for fans to send them passport pictures of themselves and 732 of these were then used to make up the artwork for the album. 5 of the 9 tracks were mixed by Steven Wilson from Porcupine Tree.

The blu-ray contains the album in hi-res and 5.1 versions, jam sessions and early versions of tracks. Also included is an 98 minute documentary, Thank God For The Internet, the complete Shot In The Dark concert video and extra live tracks.
