Kengo Kakudate Hitomi Wa Diamond

A new project shines a spotlight on the musical legacy of Sun Music, the powerhouse behind numerous beloved singers and idols of the 1970s and 1980s, such as Seiko Matsuda, Yuu Hayami, and Yukiko Okada. The initiative aims to introduce this rich musical heritage to a new generation in Japan and music lovers around the world. Fashion designer, art director, and record store owner Takumi Yuge serves as the project's label producer. The first release features Kengo Kakudate of YOGEE NEW WAVES, who covers a classic Seiko Matsuda song that he deeply admires and has performed live. With his fresh sensibility and distinctive vocal style, Kakudate breathes new life into the iconic track.
