This impassioned 1964 quintet session weaves post-bop and free jazz into spirited original compositions by Jackie McLean and young trumpet sensation Charles Tolliver. They were joined by Herbie Hancock (piano), Cecil McBee (bass) & Roy Haynes (drums).
