Kasse Mady Diabate was a Malian singer, musician and griot. His soft and particular voice with deep undertones - an atypical characteristic for a griot - earned him the nickname "The golden voice of Mali". Kasse Mady sadly passed suddenly in 2018, while recording the album. To honour her fathers legacy, his daughter Hawa Kasse Mady Diabaté, decided to finish the work her father had started. A tribute at the same time his heritage, and a way to unite spiritually. This is the result. Hawa is also the singer of the famous Trio Da Kali. The other two Trio Da Kali members, Lassana Diabate and Madou Kouyate are also performing on TOUMARO together with a carefully selected a line up, including Hawa’s son, Lassana (Lassine) Kouyate who plays the guitar in the same style his grandfather did.
