The project was born from the meeting of a live-played, unprocessed Game Boy and a distorted guitar. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Riccardo Gamondi (of Uochi Toki), Gom Jabbar delivers eight tracks of low-resolution violence, interspersed with ambient soundscapes.
The lyrics explore the dystopia of contemporary capitalism. This approach extends beyond the music itself: the band embraces copyleft licenses and carries this stance into its distribution and touring choices. They believe in the subversive power of gathering in person and playing loud, angry music.
