Fruit Juice Engines
On their third LP, Fruit Juice dives deep into some of their oldest and coziest inspirations, which primarily come from '70s pop records. This occasionally touches on disco, the funkier side of post-punk, and even the maudlin tones of '50s teen pop. In contrast to the vague surrealism of previous albums, Engines is grounded in quirky, offbeat perspectives on everyday life-whether it's the oddly calming hum of household appliances, imagined adventures with childhood friends, or playful interrogations to discover who's the family favorite.
