When the idea was presented to compile a quintessential compilation of F3K. Yeah maybe one day, like a million other Ideas, then I was on tour with The Dictators in Spain and I started thinking about the idea a little more seriously. Between those long drives between cities and towns anywhere from 4 to 7 hours, I had disposable leisure time! I started listing to our stuff on streaming sites, yeah that record is ok, a couple good tunes, that one good, if it could be remixed. That was a good tune, love to re-record it. Oh yeah why did we never record that song? Then I came up with a list of 40 songs, then 20 (hardest thing to do compiling this record and sequencing it like a new record) In my opinion, there really is only 2 records that were made properly; The Blunt Truth and Americas Hit Remakers! Those 2 wouldn't be included on any of this. So now the idea was in motion. Not certain of where the future of this band is at presently, this could be the final release. If I'm going down the rabbit hole, I'm diving in fully! If there's a demand for another one, there's a great follow up.(Just Sayin) But getting back to Lost In Space Volume One, I'm EXTREMELY proud of this! We were really able to dig into all the Sessions from Escape from Planet Omega, Where Do We Go From Here, Method To Our Madness, Allerton Ave, Save The Planet, and pull from what I feel is the best of the best. Also if this is possibly our last release, how can we not add a few from The Blunt Truth and Hitmakers? And not have The Great David Johansen doing Babylon with the band, before the Dolls reunited-ON VINYL! Theres a few hidden gems in there as well if you care to go searching! Going through these songs conjured up some great memories of almost 1000 shows. All the great bands we played with from the obvious to the obscure, late night recording. So many laughs and tears. All the different characters that were a part of the family. It was a great journey! And maybe to be continued! Keith Roth 2024
