Fat Jon Tephlon Funk: The Dope Tape
Fat Jon the Ample Soul Physician is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and an Emcee / Producer of the progressive Hip-Hop group Five Deez. He started his own record label, Ample Soul to combine all of the experience he gained from the music industry and put them together independently. Fat Jon was also a part of the production team which scored music for the hit anime series 'Samurai Champloo', which has become a modern day classic. Throughout the years, his notoriety kept growing with the emergence of Lo-Fi among new artists. Stephane Metayer asked if he'd be interested in doing music for the comic series and the rest was history. 'Tephlon Funk' is an original comic series created by Stephane Metayer about four individuals, all from different walks of life that are somehow connected. It's heavily inspired by both Hip-Hop & Anime, the words Tephlon Funk!® mean to be strong and stand out. This is more than just a series, it's a cultural movement!A sequel to 'Tephlon Funk: The Free Tape', this is a 12-track LP that also serves as a soundtrack to the series based on the eponymous manga published by Dark Horse Comics.
