Emotional Suicide Emotional Suicide
For fans of Satan / Pariah, early Metallica, Megadeth and Marshall Law. Four bonus tracks (studio demos) and 20 pages booklet. Remastered in 2022. Special vinyl mastering, LP with printed insert! The album was mostly recorded LIVE IN THE STUDIO! Produced by "Jono" (Gary Moore and others). The original CD from 1993 was once used for promotional purposes only! After the US band FATHOM NAGG, the Golden Core label has once again managed to present an album that is unknown even to insiders and the most passionate collectors! This CD of the same name by the English band EMOTIONAL SUICIDE was released in 1993, produced by the band themselves and used primarily for promotional purposes. The early break-up of the group (1994) and an original cover art reminiscent of a Sisters Of Mercy album didn't really help, despite radio airplay on the BBC's Friday Night Rock Show. And so this musical treasure remained on the floor of the heavy metal ocean for a long time...until April 2022! Emotional Suicide were formed in 1992 by Mark (Witty) Whitlock, Bud Rogers and Jase Manning after playing together at The Cut. Drummer Mark Thorman (Big Brother) joined and the plan to make heavier music than previous bands was implemented. After a few demos, the still somewhat different "The Word" EP was recorded. The song "It" turned out to be a trend-setter and later ended up on the debut, which was recorded in March 1993. In only seven days, they created an organic, addictive album with producer Jono (Gary Moore, among others), which is not easy to stylistically classify. In some moments, the vocals are reminiscent of Michael Jackson from Pariah or Satan, while the riffing is sometimes similar to Metallica or Megadeth. On the other hand, the typical aesthetics of the nineties, can only be found in a few moments. In cooperation with the band, this re-release was provided with a new cover artwork and the entire design differs somewhat from the other Golden Core reissues. Here, the terms "re-release" and "new album" are mixed in an unusual way, since almost nobody knows the original... The 20-page booklet contains the lyrics as well as the usual photos and liner notes. The album was remastered under the vigilant ears of Neudi's band members and includes four studio demo tracks as a bonus.
