Dinosaurs Last From Mexico With Love
Last Dinosaurs has found a rhythmic succession over the last decade, one that's plucked them out of Australia, pulled them through the eye of the European needle, off to write in ancient Japanese ghost towns, onto America's most iconic stages, and somehow grounded them in the middle of a sacred loophole - a ring of fire, really - that few artists find. In December 2018, Last Dinosaurs announced their first-ever U.S. tour. After selling out dates in Chicago and Los Angeles in under a minute, the tour quickly expanded into 17 sold-out shows around the country. In June 2022 in the first tour post pandemic the band returned to North America and the response was overwhelming, shows all over the country were upgraded and sold out including the iconic Fonda Theatre in LA. From Mexico with Love, was written during a time when the world stood still. While living the international rock star life is good writing material, "the deep stuff comes from being alone," remarks Lachlan. The melodies are funky and upbeat. Electric guitar riffs paired with smooth vocals, feels simple and happy: the kind of music you want to roller skate under a disco ball to. But the lyrics are anything but simple.
