Following their acclaimed 2014 album 'Hi-No Love', the time has finally come again: Cherry Casino & The Gamblers are back - and this time on Bear Family Records®. Their 11 brand-new original tunes (plus one cover version) and their unmistakable vintage style are proof that the combo is definitely one of today's hottest rock 'n' roll acts in Europe.
On this, their fourth album in total, the Gamblers present an uncommon variety that once again highlights their enormous talent and versatility. Cherry Casino's raw tenor is impressively complemented by Ike Stoye on saxophone, Michael 'Humpty' Kirscht's guitar, Gregor Gast on drums, and Kevin Weber on bass - a combination that creates an intimate, elegant, and at the same time thrilling production.
The repertoire ranges from rousing rockers such as Sugar Sweet Baby, The Automatic Fool, and Street Party to the light, pop-oriented Baby Malonka. An album to delight everyone - dancers, collectors, and lovers of authentic rock 'n' roll.
The masters were recorded at Lightning Recording Studios in Berlin with a Telefunken M10 tape recorder onto a BASF tape at 38 cm/s, using Neumann U-47/M-49 and RCA-77 microphones to capture the full frequency spectrum. The sessions took place between August 30 and September 1, 2024, and on April 19 and 20, 2025. The April sessions were co-produced by the exceptional German guitarist player Randy Richter, who passed away far too early on September 23, 2025. This album may be regarded as musical legacy. Exclusively available in the 10-inch LP format!
