How to start here? Exactly one year before Svens death Carnal Ghoul started the drum recordings for the new, yet untitled album. Shortly after, Sven was diagnosed with cancer and all work on the album was put on hold. After Sven's moving funeral, the band started again and it was decided to complete the album with 11 guest vocalists. In honour of Sven "Svensson" Groß (also Fleshcrawl), who lost his fight against cancer on 11.6.2021, this album was finalised. Sven wanted it that way! The (Death) Metal community mourns you! "Back From The Vault" was thus recorded in 2020/2021. With 11 guest singers from the international and national DM scene, who really without hesitation ALL agreed immediately and financed all recordings out of their own pockets. It is also worth mentioning that the band decided to donate most of the proceeds from sales to the SAPV Ostalb. This association took great care of Sven and his wife. You are holding the result in your hands, a record that is earthy, that embodies Death Metal in it's purest form, at the same time melancholic and full of power. Varied, not least because of the different vocal passages. Take your time, listen to the record several times, each song stands for itself and yet the record gives a great whole. That's all!
