Bruce Springsteen Lucky Town
No one could have predicted Bruce's next move as the 1980s ended: dissolving The E Street Band (retaining only pianist Roy Bittan) and assembling a group of ace studio musicians in Los Angeles, including bassist Randy Jackson and Toto drummer Jeff Porcaro, to record his next work. Human Touch was a more upbeat, modern pop/rock-inspired affair, Bruce's self-proclaimed attempt at writing "happy songs." Initially planned for a 1991 release, Springsteen temporarily shelved Human Touch with the intention of adding more material; a sudden burst of creativity in fact produced a second album, the stripped-down, personal Lucky Town. Both were released simultaneously in the Spring of 1992.
