Hear us out: Halloween is America's favorite holiday, a special time that comes but once a year. Though each year, it seems that haunted eve comes a little earlier ... a ghostly creep, ever closer, like the grave. The Bacarrudas, for one, have rushed headlong into this dark embrace. Behold: Last spring, as the black ice thawed and flower buds broke open, the 'Rrudas (as they're known to each other) were already conjuring the autumnal, Halloween spirits, beckoning them forth through a set of spooky songs.
At first, our dear, innocent 'Rrudas planned only a few tunes. Maybe three. But the demon spirits flowed, the cursed gates would not close, and ere long they had borne out eight infernal rock'n'soul hymns. Or maybe it's 10. You decide.
Either way, the songs, in their earthly form, comprise the astonishing double EP: The Bacarrudas ... Bleed out, Get Pushed off a Cliff, Sink to the Bottom of a Lake, and Play a Monster Halloween Party.
