The Houston music scene of the early 1990s was quietly cultivating a sound all it's own-heavy, groove-laden, and layered with rich vocal harmonies. Much of that sonic identity can be traced to producer Sam Taylor, the visionary behind the rise of King's X and a key architect of the city's distinctive musical DNA.
