Ready For The Show In 1975, the German hard rock band Schloss released the album „Weltschmerz,“ which was released in Europe on Giorgio Moroder‘s label Oasis and in the U.S. on Casablanca, popular for the shock rocker band KISS. But the trio remained unsuccessful and singer/guitarist Klaus Luley founded the iconic Tokyo, and later the group Craaft. Until recently, that was the end of Schloss‘s story, except that „Weltschmerz“ is now quite sought after. In 1981 the LP „Ready For The Show“ was released by a band that obviously had the same name idea. Or maybe they didn‘t have it at all? The information content on the LP is so low that you can‘t even find a line-up. One can learn that the management came from the Frankfurt area and the LP was recorded at Spygel Studios, Kirchheim/Teck, and released on the label „PEAK“. Insiders know at least that this is an early disc from GAMA Records‘ talent factory, because PEAK was one of their labels. Until today it can’t be found out that this SCHLOSS is the same band, not even via the portal Discogs. After nerve-racking research it could finally be brought to light that drummer Willy Waid and bassist Roger Kaeschner apparently continued SCHLOSS without Klaus Luley. Golden Core fills this knowledge gap with the re-release of this mystical disc, on CD and vinyl. „Ready For The Show“ offers everything that makes this time (1981) so exciting, from genuine hard rock to proto metal. So the band anticipated a bit what Mötley Crüe would stand for years later. Glam Metal can be felt as well as a few „NWOBHM made in Germany moments“. A truly obscure record, which is now re-released for the first time!
