Ruedi Häusermann Erste Annäherung
Telling about the same - a stimulating musical encounter
Two different musical formations deal with the UMELIEDER compositions by Ruedi Häusermann: The renowned Henosode Quartet interprets the detailed miniatures for violin, two violas and cello in their very own way. The result is delicate, fleeting and blurred sounds that carefully carry the nursery rhyme-like melodies through the misty landscape. Häusermann - Käppeli - Meier's approach is completely different: The UMELIEDER serve as a starting point for their rambling improvisations, which always revolve around the peculiarity of the basic composition. Years of playing together have enabled the trio to maintain the greatest possible musical freedom. It was only a matter of time before the idea of a possible rapprochement between the two groups took shape. The fascinating and exciting thing about it is that two completely different ensembles deal with the same basic musical material in their own specific way. Listening to each other playfully, how the same thing is told with relish from different perspectives.
