1968 album from Germans, The Rippers mixing psychedelic and garage rock, reissued on CD

The Rippers were a German band from the late 1960s who released Honesty -- a record that blends beat, psych, and garage-flavored rock with soul touches. Originally released in 1968, Honesty features soulful organ flourishes, driving guitar leads, and vocals that, while sung in English, carry the unmistakable accent and energy of a band eager to mix American/British styles into their own sound.
The title track 'Honesty' kicks off with urgency and melody, whilst the 'The Night At The Lagoon' drifts into garage-psych territory, full of fuzz and attitude. It's a rarity in the German beat scene -- unpolished, heartfelt, and authentically 60s.
The Rippers:
Joachim Gottschalk (guitar, vocals), Lutz Wolf (rhythm guitar, vocals, leader), Peter Kempf (drums), Hans Enderle (organ, piano), Fernando Rossell (bass).
