This album features a selection of the many memorable recordings Richard Janssen made between 1987 and 1999 with The Fatal Flowers, Shine, and Rex on the iconic Dutch show 2 Meter Sessions. Richard Janssen is a Dutch guitarist, singer, and songwriter best known as the frontman of the influential rock bands The Fatal Flowers, Shine and Rex. After forming The Fatal Flowers in 1984, the band quickly rose to national and international prominence, releasing several acclaimed albums and becoming a cornerstone of the Dutch rock scene before disbanding in 1990. Janssen later founded Shine, a project that began as a solo endeavor and evolved into a full band, releasing two albums in the 1990s. Under the moniker Rex, he also released a solo album on his own label, Rex Recordings.
