The Local Natives to performed on Jimmy Kimmel's outdoor stage in March 2020-one of the last before the COVID19 pandemic. To make the appearance special and fun, they invited friend Sylvan Esso (Amelia Meath) to join them for the hit "Dark Days". The response was overwhelmingly positive and the fan demand on social media so fervent that the Natives & Amelia wasted no time re-recording the track, having it mixed by the illustrious Spike Stent (Madonna, Bjork, Grimes).
