Baltimore’s KNUB return with their first full length offering, “Crub”, after several years of perfecting their low-end heavy rock through a demo EP and a split LP with Ohio’s Brain Cave.
“Crub” is an expansion of the KNUB sound of those last two releases. More three-dimensional, you could say. The band explores the juxtaposition of hooky melody and harmony against heavy dissonance and odd rhythms, and they push that juxtaposition even farther on this record. Sonically, “Crub” is darker and more aggressive than previous recordings, and quite intentionally. There is more grit and less sparkle compared to past records, and much more time was spent with Justin Day in the studio honing the tones and getting the right sound and mix. Justin at New Noise Recording and Mat at Mobtown Studios were absolutely instrumental in executing the band’s vision of “Crub”.
"Crub" is being co-released by The Ghost Is Clear Records, Hex Records, and Expert Work Records. you can get it from any of us... and you should.
