Kiyoshiro Imawano Last Live At Kyotokaikan 2008
'KING OF ROCK Kiyoshiro Imawano. The live recording from his last solo concert, 'Kiyoshiro Imawano Complete Resurrection Festival Additional Performances, ' held at Kyoto Kaikan First Hall on Sunday, March 2, 2008, has been unveiled. On Sunday, February 10 of the same year, he made a complete recovery from his illness at Nippon Budokan, and performed the additional concerts at Osaka Festival Hall and Kyoto Kaikan on Sunday, February 24. The Kyoto concert, which had a different set list from the previous two venues, was effectively Kiyoshiro 's last solo concert after his cancer recurred. It has now been decided that the concert will be released on his birthday, April 2, for the first time on LP and CD. With RC Succession's allies Nakaido 'CHABO' Reiichi and Arai Kozo also in attendance, the additional concert reached a climax of unprecedented expectations and aspirations amid a celebratory mood that filled the venue! 23 enthusiastic songs are revived on 3LP and 2CD, including the masterpieces of RC Succession and Kiyoshiro, 'Daydream Believer' by THE TIMERS, and the big hit 'I-Ken-Na-I Rouge Magic' that was not performed at the Budokan concert. The performance on this day, which freely went back and forth between tension and relaxation, is a performance that can be said to be a monumental milestone in Japanese rock history. The stage was captured on camera by the master photographer Masayoshi Sukita, who has photographed David Bowie, T. Rex, and Kiyoshiro's album 'Memphis'. With the artwork using Sukita's photographs, a work that rolls with rock is completed here.
