Kennedy Administration Second Term
As a follow up to their 2015 self-titled debut, the Kennedy Administration takes things up a notch or two on Second Term. Once again featuring the dynamic vocals of charismatic soul diva Kennedy and the talents of keyboardist/composer/producer and musical director Ondre J, this Brooklyn-based aggregation of groovemeisters brings an irresistible blend of funk, rock, soul and fun on their uplifting sophomore outing. From the Rufus & Chaka Khan styled upbeat vibe of (Let Me) Be Your Lucky Number to the emotive ballad Butterfly in Chains, from the slamming funk of Best Is Yet to Come to rock-tinged numbers like Addicted to Addictions and After All These Lies to smoky torch songs like Runway, Gate, Taxi and Tuesday Feelings and the catchy pop ditty Everyday Thank You, the Kennedy Administration covers a wide spectrum of musical styles on Second Term. The techno flavored dance floor closer, Let's Party, is the cherry on top of this delectable cake served up with gusto by Kennedy and her party-hearty cohorts. Second Term, which also features the slamming rhythm tandem of electric bassist Chelton Grey, drummer Nathaniel Townsley along with guest appearances by trumpeters Keyon Harrold and Josh Evans, guitarists Dan Muniz, Marc Malsegna and Jordan Peters, bassist Jay White and rapper Peter Gunz, is scheduled for a Summer 2023 release on Leopard records.
